These a few words in memory of a remarkable lady. A full article and a link to a Celebration of her Life will follow shortly.
Joy joined the Labour Party in the thirties and was passionate about workers rights; she worked hard within the party and took her part in trade union issues. Together, she and her husband Bill worked for the local Labour Party in Shoreham during the 1960s, 70s and early 80s. Joy continued to take an interest even when she could no longer help and was particularly delighted to get to know some of the young people active locally today.
