The appropriately labelled Neil Parkin (Nil-by-Car), fulminates against the ‘parkin’ anarchy’ that has reduced our little town to motoring mob rule and rolling gridlock. Aah diddums, West Sussex County Council (Tory) won’t let Adur Council (Tory) get its sticky fingers on the fines bonanza, the ill-gotten swag from coshing the local motorist. &%2
We’re not duped: there is no gridlock, traffic flows pretty well, considering we’re astride the coast road. This is just another barefaced tax-scam, sugar-coated as responsible community management. Do we really want the tyranny of private contractor Parking Wardens on our streets, with their quota driven arbitrary fines?
No, Mr Parkin, we can wait that long.
